About Me

Championing the Power of Humanity

Talja Parkinson,

Founder of Ubuntu Leadership

I was born in and spent the first half of my life in Zambia, Africa. It was there that the Ubuntu philosophy became embedded in all aspects of my life. I founded Ubuntu Leadership in order to champion the power of humanity and work with current and future leaders to create purpose, inclusion and a sense of belonging within their lives.

I am a certified :

Transformation Life Coach

Enneagram Coach

Meditation Teacher

Happiness Facilitator and Yoga Instructor

My coaching with Ubuntu Leadership combines my knowledge from each.

Over a 20 year corporate career I have worked on building successful high performance teams within the Technology sector with large companies such as Sky, Capita and Serco. One of the key takeaways from this work has been the importance of effective, inclusive leadership and the necessity of adopting ‘leadership’ as a quality and a mindset regardless of your position within a business. If those in your team do not feel seen, heard and appreciated, your organisation will struggle with a lack of innovation, productivity and morale.

I am passionate about synthesising my corporate knowledge with expertise in personal development and behavioural change. I regularly speak on subjects such as Unconscious Bias, Gender and Technology & Social Justice, using my lived experience to encourage and engage my audiences.

I am passionate about challenging the concept of what it is to be a great leader. I believe that heart-centered leadership is what the world needs right now

I look forward to welcoming you on your journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance and empowerment
